Marianne Lawrence, age 86, passed peacefully on November 20, 2022. She 
was born May 9, 1936 in Alzenau, Germany to Peter and Rosa Whithauer.

Marianne met her husband who was serving in the United States Army, she 
then emigrated to the United States where she became a U.S. Citizen in 
Bisbee, Arizona.

After many years of traveling with her husband, she finally settle in 
Yuma, Arizona. Once in Yuma, Marianne applied for a job at Gene's 
Restaurant where she worked as a Hostess until retiring. Marianne was 
also known as a active Member of the Yuma Elks Lodge, volunteering every 
chance she got.

Marianne is survived by her husband John; sons, Tom and Gary; daughter-
in-laws, Inge and Sharon; grandchildren, John, Daniel, Margaret, Kayla 
and Justin; great-grandchildren, Dee Anna, Adrian, Sarah and great-
great-grandchild Kai.
