Sandra "Sandy" Lynn Kangris was a loving, practical, and genuine wife,
mother, sister, daughter, aunt, grandmother, and friend. The most common
way to describe Sandy by anyone who met her was that she was a good
person.

Sandy was born on May 29, 1959 to Victor Eckhardt and Lois Mills in
Walton, New York. She grew up in New York with her three siblings Bill,
John, and Linda. She met the love of her life Phil Kangris, and married
him on March 28, 1987. They raised two boys, Christopher and Cory,
initially in Templeton, California. Ever since that time she was a
lifetime San Francisco Giant and 49ers fan.

Sandy and Phil had a love of nature and animals, and they moved to
Klamath Falls, Oregon where they had a piece of property that bordered a
state park. This allowed them to fulfill their desire to keep horses and
dogs. Sandy was also able to care for her mother on this "slice of
heaven".

Sandy worked as a surgical technician. She was sought after for her work
ethic, common sense, and caring she displayed with patients. Phil and
Sandy also owned a restaurant and bar together, and were well known by
all their friends for being great cooks. They retired and moved to Fort
Mohave, AZ, and traveled the country in an RV.

Sandy initially was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005, at which time
she underwent surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. The breast cancer
returned in 2018, and she fought it again until she passed on November
26, 2022. Sandy had a grace that was embodied by showing courtesy to
everyone, and she demanded that in her boys. Even when she was sick,
this grace for others never left her.

Sandy will be missed by her husband; sons; sister; ten grandchildren;
and all who knew her. She asked them to celebrate her life with
activities they enjoy in lieu of a service.
