DAWSON, Willis Bill

Published by Today's News-Herald on Dec. 20, 2022 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Willis Bill Dawson, passed away peacefully November 24, 2022 with family from Alhizemers. Bill was born January 13, 1937 to Harry and Bernice Dawson in Viola, Illinois. Joining the Air Force he served from 1953 to 1957. Bill was married to Bobby Dawson for 55 years and resided in Lake Havasu since 1996 for 25 years. Bill belonged to American Legion Post # 81 where he served as Commander 5 times. He also served Area C Vice Commander for American Legion Dept. of Arizona. Member if VFW #9401 and Elks #2399. Bill is proceeded in Death by his wife Bobby, parents Harry and Bernice, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. He is survived by his daughter Sheri Brown and grandson Jesse Brown of Illinois, brothers Terry (Arty) of Texas, Dean (Betty) of Illinois a stepdaughter and 2 grandsons of California. Bill will be missed but never forgotten. Services will be held in Sherrard, Illinois at a later date to be announced.
