Burl Theodric Hines Jr. passed away on Nov. 22, 2022 in Lake Havasu
City, Arizona after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's disease. He was
born to Burl T. Hines Sr. and Eathel McClure-Hines on June 30, 1937 in
Newark, Arkansas.
Upon graduating from High School in Norman, Oklahoma, he joined the
United States Air Force. He had an interesting military career and
dedicated his life to serving his country. As a flight engineer on the
USAF C-130B Hercules, he traveled the world.
In 1957 Burl married the love of his life, Francesca "Fran" Najar in
Roswell, New Mexico. She preceded him in death October 12, 2012.
He is survived by his three children: Jeanna Hines, Robert "Chris" Hines
and Rosie Hines-Thomas. He had 7 grandchildren: Staci Hines, Sean Hines,
Brian Hines, Kristina Butler, Ashley Meyer, Lauren Thurlby and Scott
Thomas. He was blessed with 8 great-grandchildren: Mason Hutter, Brody
Ponder, Haden Meyer, Alivia Thomas, River Thurlby, Isabella Jacobs,
Josephine Thomas and Baby Thomas due at Christmas. He also leaves behind
a sister: Marietta (Dave) Postier, several loving nieces and nephews,
family and friends.
A Memorial Services will be held at March Air Force Base in Riverside,
California, date pending.
