Miyoko Kimura Dorn

Miyoko was born in Tokyo, Japan on January 19, 1933. In 1945, due to war
circumstances, Miyoko and her family relocated to a small town near Mt.
Fugi. In 1954, Miyoko joined her sister who was living in Yokohama and
it was there that Miyoko attended a small business college. Also, at the
time, her husband to be Dan, was taking a basic Japanese language course
at the school. In time, Dan asked her for a date, she accepted and after
several months of dating, Dan proposed. Miyoko accepted and the lengthy
process began. At that time, applications to several military Japanese
government and final the U.S. Consulate were required and after over a
year, final permission was granted and they were married on December 1,
1955.

In 1957, Dan was transferred to the Marine Air Base in Edenton, North
Carolina. Following its closure in 1958, he transferred to Cherry Point,
North Carolina. In the years that followed, transfers to several bases
allowed Dan and and Miyoko to pursue their love of travel and camping,
ranging from Expo 67 in Montreal, Canada, the eastern and western
states, Hong Kong and the North Coast of Japan. Throughout their 67
years a full life was granted and achieved.

No services are planned and cremation will be cared for by Funeraria Del
Angel.
