John C. Richardson, 73, longtime rancher, dies
MORENCI--John C. "Jack" Richardson, 72, Arizona rancher, U. S. Forest
Service employe and cattle inspector, died yesterday in a Safford
nursing home.
Services will be at 4 p.m. tomorrow in the Caldwell Funeral Home in
Clifton. Burial with Elks graveside services will be in Clifton
Cemetery.
Mr. Richardson came to Arizona in 1917, settling in the Blue Mountain
range. He owned and directed a cattle ranch there until 1946.
Mr. Richardson later worked for the Forest Service in Arizona and as a
cattle inspector along the Arizona-Mexico border.
He was a charter member of a Casa Grande Elks Lodge. He was a native of
Lake Valley, N.M.
Survivors include a son, William, and a daughter, Mrs. Doris Lockwood,
both of Morenci; seven brothers, Roy of Morenci, Silas and Walter, both
of Prescott, Luther of Fort Defiance, Edward of Globe, and two brothers
out of state.
