| Published by Mohave Daily News Online from Jan. 8 to Jan. 10, 2023 - Bullhead City, Arizona - Nadine E. Luke, age 101, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. She was born Nadine Evelyn Storment on May 28, 1921, in Venice, Illinois, the daughter of the late Edward Ransom Storment and Augusta Lee Richardson and the sister to the late Eunice Storment Ore and Oren Storment. Nadine claimed the broadness of her shoulders came from years of forking hay bales on the family farm. Her family knew it came from the unfaltering strength of her love, compassion, and support. Her greatest pride was in her children. Throughout the years she was known as a sometime poet, an excellent cook, and the family's undisputed gin-rummy champion. To keep her mind sharp, she started each day with coffee, a newspaper and the daily crossword puzzle. After moving to Bullhead City in 2003 and then to Ft. Mohave in 2017, she determinedly engaged in an ongoing battle to beat the penny slots. Nadine is survived by her four children: James Ore (wife Diane) of Bullhead City, Arizona, Linda Hultquist of Ft. Mohave, Arizona, Jerry Ore (wife Bobbie) of Kerman, California, and Sue Conway (husband Larry) of Moreno Valley, California; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Donations to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, (www.alzfdn.org), would be appreciated. Services for Nadine are at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14. 2023 at Mohave Valley Methodist Church, 1593 E. Lipan Blvd., Fort Mohave, AZ, 86426, with a viewing at 10:00 a.m., followed by services at 11 a.m. |
