We are sad to announce on Jan. 5, 2023 at approximately 7:55 a,m. our
beautiful Joy Ellen Sterling Johnston had peacefully passed away at
Haven Health in Lake Havasu City at the young age of 63 years. Before
retiring, Joy was a personal care assistant. She enjoyed wrestling, car
racing and her NCIS shows.
Joy is survived by her sister Jolene Griffis in Ohio and her brothers,
Keith & Debbie Sterling in Florida, Brian & Hae Suk Sterling in Alabama,
Cameron Sterling in Ohio, Jeff Sterling in Massachusetts. Gene Sterling
in Pennsylvania, Preston & Dawnita Sterling in Pennsylvania and a half-
brother Wade & Joyce Largent in Pennsylvania. She is also survived by
her daughter Heather Barnes in Arizona, her son Nicholas Barnes in Ohio,
son Samuel Giordano in Georgia and son Wayne Giordano in North Carolina,
Her grandchildren and the apple of her eyes Misty Pack in Ohio and
Arlene Baker Arizona also survive her as well. She is also survived by
nieces and nephews that loves her very much. Joy is preceded in death by
her mom Deloris Kreider Largent, her dad Edwin Sterling and a half-
sister Hannah Chase.
There will be no services, Joy you will be sadly missed & you are loved
so very much, may you rest in Heaven.
