HARSTAD, Joanne Catherine

Published by Today's News Herald from Jan. 31 to Feb. 1, 2023 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Joanne Catherine Harstad died on Dec. 18, 2022 at the age of 82. She was a devoted, loving wife and mother. Joanne was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Terry Harstad. Joanne was born July 27, 1940 in Yonkers, New York. Her family moved to the San Gabriel Valley in California where she attended Mark Keppel High School and met the love of her life, Terry. Joanne also attended and graduated from West Covina High School. The couple was happily married on July 12, 1958. Joanne and Terry lived and raised their three children in West Covina, and upon retirement moved to Lake Havasu City. Joanne was a welcomed volunteer in various charities throughout her adult life. She was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed gardening, traveling with Terry, and entertaining. She had a deep passion for cooking where her recipes began with olive oil and ended with a gathering of family and friends. Joanne is survived by her three children, Terry, Jeff and Julie, along with five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Terry and grandson Brandon Antillon. A celebration of life will be held later this year.
