Clara (Ainsworth) Worthen

PRESCOTT--Mrs. Clara Worthen, 67, one of Prescott's foremost business
women and daughter of pioneer residents, died early yesterday at a local
hospital.

Mrs. Worthen is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Ainsworth,
who came to Prescott from Salt Lake City by wagon in 1881.

Mrs. Worthen was born July 31, 1886, at Walnut Creek. Among her business
activities were a millinery shop and a flower shop. She operated the
Annex Hotel, later the Vendome Hotel, and from 1919-34 the Head Hotel.

She is survived by her son, Claude Cline, Prescott; three brothers,
George and Ben of Prescott, and Roland of Bagdad; and three
grandchildren. Services and burial will be private.
