Richard Thomas Salmon

Lake Havasu City, Arizona -

Richard (Dick) Thomas Salmon died unexpectedly at the age of 85. He was
born in Spring Valley, Illinois to Rose and Thomas Salmon. His father
was killed in World War II in January 1945.

His mother remarried, Robert Blum. When Dick was a high school senior
his family moved to San Bernardino, California. Dick graduated from Cal
State LA in 1959.

While working at TWA he met his future wife, Judy Cox. They were married
Dec. 31, 1960. They lived in Palos Verdes where he ran an electrical
company and built homes. They moved to Prescott in 1982 where he ran an
electrical supply business.

They moved to Lake Havasu City in 1988. He built the Vista West Condos
and the Sunset Plaza. He was president of the Chamber of Commerce in
1992. His loving wife Judy died in 1995.

Dick met Carol Magan and became life partners until his death. They had
a wonderful life together that included traveling and a passion for
dogs. They went to SARA Park's dog park regularly where the dogs played
and Dick met with friends.

Dick enjoyed working for Havasu Vegas Express. He liked meeting new
people and talking to the passengers. He also worked for Avis shuttling
cars from Havasu to Vegas.

Dick's enjoyment of volunteering included bingo night at the Elks, the
Balloon Festival and helping Carol at the Western Arizona Human Society.
He is preceded in death by his mother Rose and stepfather Bob Blum, a
Pearl Harbor survivor.

He is survived by his loving partner Carol, his amazing children Susan
Morris, John Salmon, Rich Salmon, and Joni Kuzio. He had nine
grandchildren and one great grandson. He also is survived by his brother
Tom Salmon and two half-brothers Steve Blum and Mike Blum. He leaves
behind many nieces, nephews, and many other relatives.

We are all devastated by the loss of this wonderful man.

There is a celebration of life, Sunday, Feb. 26. 3:30 P.M. at Lake
Havasu City Elks Lodge, 3532 N. McCulloch Blvd.
