| Published by Today's News Herald from Feb. 11 to Feb. 12, 2023 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona Judith E. Caldwell Hardy was born June 30, 1941. She died Dec. 24, 2022 from covid pneumonia as well as lacking any natural immunity due to a kidney transplant 15 years ago. She was born in San Bernardino, California to Gertrude and George Howard Caldwell, and spent her early years on the beaches of Santa Catalina Island which she looked upon as her home away from home always. Later, she moved to Salt Lake City where she enrolled in the Rowland Hall School for girls. While there, she met her future husband Ted, and they were married June 7, 1960 in St. Mark's Cathedral. Sometime later, first Judy, and then Ted converted to the Catholic faith, after an intense time spent on a Marriage Encounter weekend. On Feb. 5, 2000, they moved to Lake Havasu City, and became immersed in the happenings here in town; Our Lady of the Lake Soup Kitchen, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, the Balloon Festival, the Clydesdale Horses, and the Havasu Classics car club. Judy is survived by her husband and children: David, Dana and Kelly. A funeral mass will be said Wednesday, Feb. 15, at noon at the Church, with a Rosary before and a reception afterward. |
