| Arizona Daily Star (Tucson, Arizona) Friday, September 4, 1998, p. 12 HILLIARD, Carl Eugene, 73, died September 1, 1998 in Prescott. He was born September 7, 1924 in Phoenix, Arizona, the son of Clyde Eugene and Annie (Galvin) Hilliard. Mr. Hilliard served for three years in the Brown Shoe Airforce in the US Army during World War II. He married Lois Jean Siekman in 1947. He graduated from the University of Arizona's Pharmacies in Los Angeles, Tucson, Phoenix, and Prescott. After retiring, he worked in the Kmart pharmacy for five years. He also earned his master's degree when close to retirement age. He enjoyed flying and piloted his own plane, and was a member of the Quiet Birdmen of Prescott. He is survived by his wife, Lois J. Hilliard of Prescott; son, David W. Hilliard of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and three grandchildren. No services are planned. Arizona Wakelin Funeral Home of Prescott handled arrangements. |
