B4 A funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Evergreen Staples Funeral Chapel for Gay Annette Hamm, 56, who died in Vancouver on Wednesday, June 2, 1999, of pneumonia. Her husband, Charles B., died in 1990. Survivors include one daughter, Carrie Benson of Vancouver; two sons, Mark Benson of Vancouver and Joshua Couch of Junction, Kansas; two brothers, Brian Merrill of Pima, Ariz., and Gary Merrill of Chandler, Ariz.; and five grandchildren. Born Sept. 5, 1942, in Wickenburg, Ariz., Mrs. Hamm was a homemaker. Her maiden name was Merrill. She loved to feed the birds and squirrels. Mrs. Hamm enjoyed crocheting. The casket will be open from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Southwest Washington Humane Society, 2323 W. 26th St. Extension, Vancouver, WA 98660. |
