Charles (Chuck) Leroy Hunter, 88, of Lake Havasu City, passed away on
April 1, 2023, after complications due to lung cancer.

Chuck was born on Sept. 15, 1934, and grew up in Orleans and Lancaster,
Minnesota. He graduated from Lancaster High School in 1952 and then
attended NDSU in Fargo, North Dakota to study engineering. He took two
years off from college to join the Army, stationed in Germany. He
returned to NDSU, completed his mechanical engineering degree in 1958
and moved to Seattle to work for The Boeing Company.

Chuck's 37-year career at Boeing took him to multiple locations
including Washington, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, California,
Louisiana, Delaware, and Saudi Arabia until his retirement in 1995.
Chuck met Marie Brattensborg during his last year at NDSU. They were
married in 1959 for 55 years before her passing in 2014. They raised
three children and have 4 grandchildren. After Chuck's retirement, they
"settled down" in Lake Havasu City where they loved to host family,
relatives, and friends at his Hunter Resort.

Chuck was a wonderful, devoted father and husband. He supported us
throughout the many accomplishments and difficulties of our lives. He
found his most joy when around family and friends, hosting, and bringing
people together. His smile, laugh, joking nature and generous heart is
what we will miss the most in our lives.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and John Hunter,
brother, John Leslie Hunter, and son-in-law Kent Kindsvater. Chuck is
survived by his son, Roger Hunter, daughters Joan Hunter (Jorgan Light)
and Patty Kindsvater, as well as four grandchildren (Brett and Kurt
Kindsvater, Lars and Annika Light) from Washington.

Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 13 at Lietz-Fraze
Funeral Home. A funeral mass and reception will be held noon Friday,
