| Published by Today's News Herald from Apr. 8 to Apr. 9, 2023 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Having lived an inspired life for 94 years, Myrtie is now soaring on her next grand adventure that began on the first day of spring! Growing up in the South with strong family roots, Myrtie also wanted to grow and expand both her personal and professional horizons. At just 16, she earned a full academic scholarship and set off for college. Her lifelong journey was certainly full of explorations, discovery, some blunders, many triumphs, and a whole lot of fun. With her adventurous husband Jim, their travels, businesses, and residences spanned many states, living in places from the high-altitude Rocky Mountains to a high-rise in New York City. As a lifelong student of many spiritual, and positive philosophies, these studies provided her quest for continuing wisdom and inspiration. Teaching one of these classes called "A Course in Miracles" to many, earned her the nickname of "Miracle Myrt." Enjoying her home in Lake Havasu City the past 12 years, Myrtie had such good times meeting new friends, from all around the country. She was welcomed among many, especially at the Lake Havasu Senior Center, who also retired in the paradise of desert warmth and sunshine. Her 'gang' was ever ready to get together to enjoy concerts, dinners out, theater, or just a fun game of Spinner! Myrtie shared her vibrant spirit with her son and daughter who now have a lifetime of love, guidance, and memories keeping her close at heart. One remarkable lady, the miracle of Myrtie; always remembered with great love. |
