| Published by Today's News Herald on May 7, 2023 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Raymond Grant Spottswood was talented, caring, kind, and a giving son, brother, friend, husband, dad of four daughters, grandfather of eight, and great-grandfather of seven. He was passionate about life from a young age. Ray was bold, and fearless. He was the little boy who drew a crowd. As a boy, he was recognized as a talented young man on stage and even was hired as an actor for several local performances. He was born and raised in San Jose, served in the US Navy, and built his own home in the Santa Cruz mountains. He retired and moved to Lake Havasu City where he lived out the rest of his life enjoying his many desert toys. After serving in the Navy, Ray met the love of his life. Gloria. Ray started out as a hod carrier working in the construction industry, got his real estate license, and eventually became a splicing technician for Pacific Bell where he retired after 28 years. Ray and Gloria were able to take a year off to sail from Emeryville to Florida. They explored much of the Pacific Coast and Caribbean Islands. Ray continued to have a zest for life and found comfort in caring for those whom he connected with. Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz Fraze Funeral Home. |
