Wickenburg Sun (Wickenburg, Arizona) Friday, November 16, 1956, p. 1 Gerold Hoskins Burial Will Be In Native Iowa Following funeral services here Tuesday afternoon, the body of Gerold Hoskins was sent to Keosauqua, Ia., for burial. The services, held in the First Baptist Church, were conducted by William Griggs, president of the LDS Church, assisted by the Rev. Bill Barker. Mr. Hoskins, who had been in ill health for several years, died of a heart condition in St. Joseph's Hospital, Phoenix, November 9, the same day he had been admitted to the hospital for a checkup and just a few hours before his 45th birthday. He was born near Keosauqua November 10, 1911, and had been a Wickenburg resident since 1947. He and a brother, Alfred Leonard, conducted the Hoskins Bros. Construction Co. here until recent years. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Helen Hoskins; three sons, Jerry 19, Dale 17 and Harvey 2 1/2; one daughter, Nola 9; the parents, Mr. & Mrs. Alva Hoskins of Keosauqua; and two brothers, Alfred Leonard of Unionville, Mo., and Willard of Keosauqua. Son Jerry, who entered the Air Force October 31, arrived Sunday evening from Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Mrs. Hoskins, Harvey and Nola accompanied the body back to Iowa.
