| Wickenburg Sun (Wickenburg, Arizona) Friday, August 15, 1958, p. 1 New York Masonic Rites to Be Held For John Carter Masonic services will be conducted in New York City for John Carter, secretary of the local Masonic Lodge, who died in Community Hospital here at 9:30 p.m. August 8 after a long illness. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Brooklyn, N.Y. The body left here Wednesday by railroad for the east. Mr. Carter was born November 7, 1895, in New York City. He came to Wickenburg in 1950 from Seligman and had been residing at the Bridge Court. He was a member and secretary of Hassayampa Lodge No. 37 of the Masons, and was a member of the Royal Arch Masons and Eastern Star. Surviving are a cousin, William Leidall of Glenbrook, Conn., and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Mary Parloto of New York City. |
