| Published by Today's News Herald on Jun. 25, 2023 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Longtime resident, Noreen Elizabeth Kuerner was born in Brooklyn, New York. She grew up in Glendale, New York, married her childhood next door neighbor, Herbert E. Kuerner on April 27, 1963. Herb, Noreen and their three children, Herb Jr., John, and Kristine then relocated to Lake Havasu City on July 5, 1980. Soon after, Noreen began working in the escrow industry. She became quite the "escrow icon" and many felt honored to work beside her as she was very knowledgeable and was always willing to teach others what she knew. If you ask anyone to describe Noreen, most would describe her as a straight forward, witty, honest, loyal and loving friend. She would give a stranger the shirt off of her back and helped many people. She had a fire for life and a funny sense of humor. After she retired, she helped to raise her grandkids and volunteered in their classroom at Jamaica Elementary School. She also volunteered her time with the auxiliary at Havasu Regional Medical Center. She recently became a member at the Eagles. Noreen is survived by her husband, Herbert E. Kuerner; her son, John Kuerner; her daughter and son-in- law, Kristine (Eric) McMillan; her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Taylor and Kassie Furnell; brother and sister- in- law, Thomas (Doris) Hetzel. She is preceded in death by her mother, Jean Hetzel; son, Herbert E. Kuerner Jr. and her grandson, Joshua Michael Furnell. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, McCulloch Campus: 1605 McCulloch Blvd. S., Lake Havasu City, AZ. 86406, on July 1, 2023 at 11 a.m. |
