Nelson O. Broce Jr. died June 30th after a long battle with cancer. Nel
had a strong faith in God, and we are certain that he is now with his
Lord and Savior. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 39 years Diane
Schneider, his sister Claire Cullinane, his son Bradford Broce, and his
grandson Finnian Broce.

Nel was born in 1948 and raised in Weymouth, Massachusetts. While in New
England, he had careers in both marketing and corporate training for
Aetna Life & Casualty, and later as a home inspector in Phoenix. After
retirement, he kept himself busy by working as a park ranger.

Nel made friends everywhere he went. He often referred to himself as
"the bald guy," but he was so much more than that: he was a loving
husband and father, a hard worker, a loyal friend, and an incorrigible
joker.

To relax, Nel enjoyed camping and motorcycling, as well as spending time
at his family's lake house in Maine, which he helped build when he was
ten years old. Nel was also quite proud of his collection of beer
glasses, which numbered over a thousand at the time of his passing.

Services will be held at 11AM on Saturday, July 8th at Christ Chapel
Presbyterian Church at 3450 Chemehuevi Blvd, Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
A memorial service will also be held in Acton, Maine at a date to be
determined.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christ Chapel Presbyterian
Church.

Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
Thoughts and condolences can be sent to the family at www.lietz-
