TECHAU, James

James A. Techau, age 86, of Chandler, AZ, died July 9 2023. A private 
family service and burial will take place at the Sacramento Valley 
National Cemetery, Dixon, California. 

Jim was born June 24, 1937, in Tipton, Iowa to Erwin & Dorothy (Allen) 
Techau. He graduated Stanwood High School and entered into the United 
Air Force in May 1955. He retired from the FAA as Air Traffic Controller 
Team Supervisor. 

Jim survived by his wife Mary, and their 5 children, James (Denise) 
Techau, Huntington Beach, CA, Joe(Karen) Techau, Rocklin, CA. Jeffrey 
Techau, Elk Grove, CA, Dana Techau, Sacramento, CA, and David Techau, 
Cool, CA; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Also survived by 
his brothers Richard Techau, Fillmore, CA, Thomas Techau, Mesquite, NV 
and his sister Cindy (Techau) Lange of Chandler, AZ. 

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, and older sister Shirley 
(Techau) Dunston.
