Woman Killed And Two Injured When Cars Hit Head-On

Mrs. Gertrude Townsend Bell, 34, of Glen Cove, N.Y., was killed and two
others were injured when two cars collided head-on eight miles west of
Aguila on Highway 60-70. The body was removed to Phoenix where an
inquest was scheduled to be held today (Friday).

Injured were Mrs. Bell's daughter, Toni, 9, and Leroy Miller, 47, of
Mesa. Both are in Community Hospital here.

State Highway Patrolman Robert Wallace reported that Mrs. Bell was the
driver of one car and Mr. Miller was driving the other. Mr. Miller's
condition was said at the hospital to be critical.
