| Wickenburg Sun (Wickenburg, Arizona) Wednesday, April 12, 2023, p. A-6 Carl David Cox, beloved son, brother, uncle, great uncle, nephew and cousin of Wickenburg, went to his eternal home in heaven on March 4, 2023.He was born on April 16, 1969, in Phoenix, AZ. In his youth, Carl was a gifted athlete, playing football and baseball with fervor. He always enjoyed little kids and dogs and was often found playing with both to their delight. He also worked with the youth at Community Alliance Church. Carl was a music lover, especially rock and country. One could always locate him just by following the location of the music blasting. He was a welder and farrier by trade, fashioning and selling horseshoe art pieces with many being given as gifts to family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Gene and Judy Cox, brother Jeff (Tammy), Nieces, Emily Baldwin, Holly Gawn (Matt), Libby George (Ryan), Nephew Ben Cox (Lezleigh Jaworski), his Aunt Donna Shriver (Dana), his great niece and nephews, his cousins, and his "Big Red Dog", Justus. Carl was preceded in death by his aunt Shirley Henderson, uncle A. J. Cain, and uncle Steve Williams. He leaves to all a legacy of a passionate love for Jesus, which he readily shared with others; his big love for his family, friends, and even strangers; a servant's heart of gold; his big bear hugs; and his helping hands eager and ready to go to work with joy and a big smile. A celebration of Carl's life will be on April 29 at Community Alliance Church, 905 Falcon Drive, Wickenburg, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to Community Alliance Church Building Fund, 905 Falcon Dr., Wickenburg AZ 85390 and/or K-9 Connection (a Canine and Feline Rescue), 903 W. Wickenburg Way, Wickenburg, AZ 85390. Both are non-profit organizations. Happy heavenly reunions, Carl. You were loved so much. |
