Former Resident Dies In Wyoming

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 26, in the Jackson LDS Ward
Chapel, Jackson, Wyoming, for Mrs. Doris Van Winkle, well-known former
Wickenburg resident who passed away June 23 in Moose, Wyoming. She had
been in ill health for some time.

Mrs. Van Winkle had a wide circle of friends in the Wickenburg area. She
lived here a number of years and worked in local restaurants as waitress
and cook. She was best known in Wickenburg as Doris (Mrs. Jack) Taylor,
before her marriage to Dewey Van Winkle of Moose in 1952.

She was born April 21, 1910, in Rhinelander, Wis., the daughter of
Herman T. Cease and Loda Briggs Cease. Her parents and one brother,
Sidney, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband and her two daughters: Mrs. Ray Alton
(Patricia) of Lindon, Utah, and Mrs. Lee Luton (Norma) of Jackson. There
are three grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers and one sister,
Earl of Sherman Oaks, Calif., Bruce of Chicago, and Mrs. Grace Byer of
Huntington Beach, Calif.
