| Arizona Republic (Phoenix, Arizona) Thursday, January 9, 1975, p. C-5 MESA--Debra Grace Chevalier, 27, a substitute teacher for the past two years in Mesa and Tempe school districts until she became ill, died Monday in a Tucson hospital. Mrs. Chevalier, 433 E. Hampton, was a member of the Mesa 32nd Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A pianist, she had been a teacher of Sunday School, Beehive and Mutual Improvement Association, active in the MIA Choir and Student Art Association at Arizona State University and a dance director. Survivors of Mrs. Chevalier, who was born in Cottonwood, include her husband, Richard; a son, Richard Anthony; father, Grant Wakefield; brothers, Maurice and Marvin Wakefield; and sisters, Jana Rowley and Verda Bush. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the 32nd Ward Chapel, 234 W. 10th Ave. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today in the Garden Chapel, 33 N. Sirrine. Graveside rites will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday in Taylor Cemetery. |
