Leland Dale Hultquist

Lake Havasu City, Arizona -

Leland "Lee" Dale Hultquist passed away at the age of 75 on Friday, July
28, 2023, at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, surrounded by family. Lee
was born on April 24, 1948, in Red Oak, Iowa, to Ruth and Robert
Hultquist.

Lee's Navy career brought him to California, where he was stationed in
San Diego. After four years in the military, he resided in San Diego for
many years until he moved to Lake Havasu City, where he met his wife,
Janice. Lee became a dealer, pit boss, and slot technician at Havasu
Landing casino, alongside her. Lee and Janice got married on Aug. 18,
2008, in Phoenix, after seven years of being together. At the time of
his passing, he was happily retired in Havasu Landing, California. He
enjoyed his life living in the desert, visiting his community casino,
playing games, and being our pastry man.

Lee is survived by his wife, Janice Hultquist, his stepson, Stephen
Maderos (Callie), seven step-grandchildren: Jade Jessup (Graydon), Cree
Travalent, Tayler DiGiacomo (Matthew), Colton Ott, Elijah Maderos
(Chloe), Noah Maderos, Sawyer Maderos and six great-grandchildren. He is
also survived by his brother, Steven Hultquist (Mary), three sisters-in-
law: Lois Davis, Anita Cabral, Carol Manning, two brothers-in-law: Steve
Potts and Charles 'Spike' Wood, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lee was loved by many and will be forever missed. We'll be sure to save
a donut for you!

There was a friendship gathering at the Chemehuevi Community Center in
Havasu Lake on Saturday Aug. 5, 2023 at 2 p.m.

Lee will be interred at Keystone Cemetery in Dobbins, California on a
date TBD.
