| Wickenburg Sun (Wickenburg, Arizona) Friday, August 1, 1958, p. 1 Funeral Thursday For Mrs. Rathburn Funeral services were scheduled for 9 a.m. Thursday in the Wickenburg Chapel for Mrs. Muriel Hedrick Rathburn, sister of Mrs. R. L. Westall, who died in her home in Hawthorne, Calif., Monday afternoon. Mrs. Rathburn, who lived in Wickenburg from 1924 through 1955, had been ill for a long time. Dr. Charles S. Poling was to conduct the services with Mrs. Robert Naeve, pianist, and Mrs. Reuben Stifel, soloist, furnishing the music. Burial was in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mrs. Rathburn was born May 7, 1909, in West Virginia, resided in Kansas before coming to Wickenburg. She later lived in Phoenix and Glendale before moving to California three years ago. Surviving are the husband, Elton Rathburn, Sr., of Hawthorne; one son, Elton (Pete) Rathburn, Jr., of Glendale, Ariz.; two daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Gothard and Judy Rathburn, both of Hawthorne; three sisters, Mrs. Ralph Tolman of Lompoc, Calif., Mrs. Goldie Loss of Tucson, and Mrs. Westall; four brothers, Carl Hedrick of North Miami, Fla., Lyde Hedrick of Seattle, Wash., Julian Hedrick of Kansas City, Mo., and Stanford Hedrick of Detroit, Mich.; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers at the Thursday service were Bill Bass, Carl Shride, Roy Coxwell, Charlie Baker, Tony O'Brien and Robert Wentworth. |
