| Arizona Daily Star (Tucson, Arizona) Monday, July 11, 1994, p. 10 ROBERTS, William Wirt, 76, of Bejia Flor Ranch, AZ, died July 6, 1994 at his home. Born in Kansas City, MO, he grew up in Hayden, AZ, received his BS from University of New Mexico, belonged to Kappa Sigma Fraternity, received his masters degree at University of Hawaii, served in WWII while in the Navy, was a Pearl Harbor survivor, was a rancher in TX and CO, founded the first frozen food corporation in Brazil, president and founder of Serrot Corporating Corrosion Control Materials, and was a long time member of The American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers. Survived by wife, Virginia Wills Roberts; daughter, Bilikay Chatham, of Phoenix; grandson, Cord Chatham of Phoenix; sister, Dorrey Haines, of Albuquerque, NM. Services are private. Arrangements by Evergreen Mortuary & Cemetery. |
