Robert Clair Hardy

Robert Clair Hardy, known to his family and friends as "Bob" passed away
on August 08, 2023, at the age 82 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Bob was born
in Los Angeles, CA. on January 20, 1941, to Lloyd James Hardy and June
Vivian Hardy (Warner). The family lived in Santa Monica, CA from 1941-
1946, then moved to Culver City, CA until 1965. Bob lived in Palms, CA
from 1965-1971.

He attended Venice High School in Venice, CA. After graduating high
school, he worked as a machinist for Wedgewood-Holy Corp.

He enlisted in the US Army in 1962 and attend Basic Training and AIT at
Fort Ord, CA. He then was assigned to "B" Battery 6th Missile Battalion
(HAWK), 71" Artillery Fort Bliss, TX. until 1964, when he was then
transferred to the US Army Reserve XV Corps. He served as a Wheeled
Vehicle Mechanic. He was awarded the following medals/badges: Army Good
Conduct Medal; Expert Rifle Badge; Sharpshooter Badge as well as the
Army Wheeled Driver and Mechanic Badge.

While stationed at Fort Bliss he met his beautiful, future wife, Eva.
After a long courtship, he convinced her to move to Los Angeles,
California in 1966 to be with him. On August 20, 1966, he married the
love of his life at The Lucky Little Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada. The
same year his son Robert C. Hardy Jr. was born.

After his enlistment in the US Army, Bob became a Machinist and worked
for several companies before starting with McCulloch Corp. in 1966. In
1971, the family made the move to Lake Havasu City, Arizona
with the McCulloch Corp. Bob worked for McCulloch until 1999 for a total
of 31 years.

Bob enjoyed being a Lifeguard in his younger years. Enjoyed fishing and
being around the water. He loved tinkering and making things. He also
enjoyed working on cars, whether changing oil or rebuilding an engine.
Bob was a Baptist, a member of the American Legion. Previous member of
Stove Mounters International Union as well as a member of UAW. He
donated to Paralyzed Veterans of America, St. Jude and Boys town.

Robert is preceded in death by his wife Genoveva Hardy, his parents
Lloyd and June Hardy, his brother Ronald and his sister Margaret. He is
survived by his son Robert C. Hardy Jr. his daughter-in-law Rosemary
Hardy, and his grandchildren, Bobby and Isabel. His brothers Lloyd Hardy
Jr. of Pahrump and David Hardy of Placentia, CA. Bob was a loving
husband, father, grandfather, brother and he will be greatly missed by
everyone who knew him.
