Roger A. Gaumond

Roger A. Gaumond, 83 of Kingman, AZ went to his heavenly father on
September 8, 2023. Roger was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island to Alfred &
Celia Gaumond on June 28, 1940.

Roger met his loving wife Rita Perone at work, and they married on
February 3, 1962.

Roger always worked very hard, he held down 3 jobs so Rita could stay
home and raise their children Rod Jr. and Sandra. Roger was Owner
Operator of Ocean State Janitorial in R.I. which continues to be a
successful company to this day.

After Multiple back surgeries Roger & Rita decided to move to a drier
climate and moved to Kingman, AZ in 1983. Roger & Rita started Advance
Janitorial in Kingman and continues to be a successful business run by
Roger’s loving son Roger Gaumond Jr.

Roger enjoyed volunteering in the Kingman community & for various
charities. He was vey involved in St. Mary’s catholic church, he was
past president of St Vincent De Paul’s and had been a Grand Knight for
the Knight of Columbus. Roger could start a conversation with anyone,
always friendly and giving of his time to those in need.

Roger enjoyed tinkering out in his garage and watching Mass on T.V. and
reading one of his many books on history events and past presidents. He
was a collector of memorabilia comic books, knives, coins & Mickey
Mouse, his garage was a collector’s dream, he loved having the garage
doors open and blaring his opera music & Sweet Caroline on his Bose
radio. The neighbors regularly stopped by to see Roger and check out
anything new he may have added to his collections.

Roger was preceded in death by his father Alfred Gaumond Mother Celia A.
Gaumond, Sisters Antonia “Tootsie” Duvall, Ruth M Cooper, Florence C
Gray and Roger & Rita’s baby boy Gaumond.

Roger is survived by his loving wife Rita U Gaumond, son Roger (Terry &
Braylin) Gaumond Jr., Daughter Sandra (Karen Lopez) Gaumond, Brother
George Gaumond, Sisters Barbra Gramza & Aurora Perry, many nieces and
nephews, best buddy & neighbor Leonard Deutsh and longtime family friend
Tara Gilpin

There will be a church service September 30 at 11:30am at Trinity
Episcopal Church located at 425 E Spring St. Kingman, AZ the family
invites everyone for sandwiches following the service. If anyone would
like to Donate in Roger’s name, the family request St. Vincent de Paul
Society of Kingman.
