Joseph K. Hazlett

Joseph K. Hazlett passed away on Oct. 5, 2023 in Lake Havasu City. Joe
was born on Oct. 14, 1934 in Cincinnati.

He graduated from Western Hills High School in 1952. After graduation,
he joined the United States Navy. After being medically discharged from
the Navy, he attended Arizona State University, graduating in 1955 with
a degree in education and a minor in finance. From 1958 to 1961, Joe
taught fifth grade at Ingleside Elementary in Yuma. In June 1961, Joe
embarked on a 35-year journey in the banking industry, joining Valley
National Bank (Chase) and worked in various branches throughout the
state.

In 1982, Joe, with his family, moved to Lake Havasu City, where he
retired from his banking career in 1994.

Joe's commitment extended beyond his professional life; he was an active
and passionate member of his community. He served as past president of
the Chamber of Commerce, past president of the London Bridge Rotary, and
played a pivotal role in leading the Main Street Association. Joe
enjoyed the outside. He was an avid four-wheeler, enjoying adventures
with his jeep and side by side. Joe was most happy when fishing.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph D and Edith L Hazlett,
and his son Mark Hazlett. He is survived by his loving wife, Deena
Hazlett, and his daughters, Jodee Hazlett and Tamee Gressett (Patty).
Additionally, he is survived by his stepson, Jay C Gressett, his sister,
Nan(Tom), grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Joe's memory will be
cherished by his family and the countless lives he touched.

He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
