| Published by Today's News Herald on Oct. 22, 2023 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Jean Lois Steele passed away on Sept. 21, 2023, at Flagstaff Medical Center. She was 90. She was born on March 29, 1933, in Toledo, Ohio. Attending Scott High School, she was active in school functions and was highlighted as a majorette in the marching band. Jean and her family moved from Toledo, Ohio to Lake Havasu City in 1969 making them original pioneers of this growing city. She is proceeded in death by her husband Bill and son David. Jean is survived by her son Dennis Steele of Lake Havasu City; daughter-in-law Tami Steele (David) of Lake Havasu City; granddaughter Jennifer (Steele) & Jayson Clark of Kila, Montana; grandson Steven Steele of Lake Havasu City; great grandchildren Tyler and Ava Clark of Kila, Montana. Memorial Services will be held at St. Michaels United Methodist Church on Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. with a reception to follow. Additionally, there will be a burial service at Memorial Gardens on Oct. 29 at 10 a.m. where Jean will be laid to rest with her husband Bill Steele. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for a memorial tree/bench plaque that will be dedicated in honor of Jean Steele or Parks & Recreation after school scholarship program, Lake Havasu Firefighter Charities, St. Michaels United Methodist Church.
