Joseph Martin
October 26, 1966 - August 1, 2023

Joseph Martin, also known as The Rock Man, passed away unexpectedly on
Aug. 1, 2023, at the age of 56 at his home.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 25 years, Claudia Trujillo; his
children, Joseph (Regina), Vanessa (Frank), Wilfredo (Daisy), and Alexia
(Allison); siblings, Ginny (Roger), Jason (Christine), Justin (Amy),
Donald, Janice (Kenny), Roy, James, Randy (Dana) and Lisa; 24 nieces and
nephews; and, finally, his 12 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by
his mother and father, Margarita and Michael Martin, and his five
brothers, Charles, Bill, Dale, Danny and Richard.

Joseph was born on Oct. 26, 1966, in Cebu City, Philippines. At a young
age, he traveled to many countries with his military family. He finally
resided in Arizona at the age of 17. Joseph started his family at the
age of 21 and continued to grow the family over the next ten years. At
20 years old, Joseph found his passion for rock and stone and, over the
next 36 years, his talent grew to be his business, Artisan Rock & Stone.

Whenever he wasn't working, Joseph enjoyed spending time with his family
but especially enjoyed being able to escape on his Indian motorcycle
with Claudia for day trips.

Recently, Joseph discovered he had a biological family he'd never met in
Mississippi and was able to spend time with them before his passing. He
had finally found his people; people who were just like him.

Joseph was also well known in the surrounding communities for always
lending a hand to those in need, especially with helping to rebuild
Yarnell after the fire. He will be greatly missed and remembered for his
bright smile and sense of humor.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Oct. 28, 2023, at the Coffinger
Park Recreation Center at 1 p.m. All are welcome to attend to share the
stories and memories they have of him with his family. In lieu of
flowers, a GoFundMe has been setup to help cover unexpected expenses at
