| The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Wednesday, November 1, 2023, page A-6 Dorothy Elizabeth Thomas October 28, 1917 - October 23, 2023 Dorothy Elizabeth Thomas, 105 years old, passed away peacefully on Oct. 23, 2023, at her home in Wickenburg. She was attended by her daughter, son, and granddaughter during the last days of her life. Dorothy was born in Bryan, Ohio, to Cora and Glen Betts. Dorothy married her high school sweetheart, Morton Stanley Thomas, Jr., in 1937 and moved to Albion, Indiana, where they had four children. From 1950 to 1982, the family lived on Hamilton Lake in Hamilton, Indiana. Dorothy and Morton spent the remainder of their years in Wickenburg. An expert in bridge, bowling, and attending social events, she was fond of many friendships, and loved cooking for her family. In Wickenburg, she served as the president for several years of Los Senoras with the Desert Caballeros Western Museum. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Morton Stanley Thomas, Jr.; her brother Warren Betts; and her grandson Jake Thomas. Dorothy is survived by her children Ronald Thomas, Morton Stanley Thomas, III, Suzanne Winzeler, and Bradley Thomas; and her grandchildren Colleen, Ronald, Adam, Jonny, July, Jaimie, Brad, Courtney, Jessica, Brad and 13 great-grandchildren.
