Coughran of Skull Valley were married in Phoenix November 1. Mrs. Coughran has been a resident of Wickenburg for a number of years. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wickenburg Hassayampa Sun (Wickenburg, Arizona) Saturday, January 5, 1935, p. 1 Death Claims Stella Kerkes Coughran; Funeral To Be Saturday Mrs. Walter Coughran (Stella Kerkes) 19 years old, bride of two months, passed away Thursday at 3 a.m. in the Mercy Hospital at Prescott where she was rushed from her home in Skull Valley to undergo treatment for a diabetic condition. Mrs. Coughran had lived in Wickenburg all her life until her marriage November 1 when she moved to Arrowhead Ranch, at Skull Valley. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her father, Mike Kerkes, three sisters, Mary, Sarah and Annie and three brothers, Tommy, Mitchell and Nickie all of Wickenburg. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wickenburg Hassayampa Sun (Wickenburg, Arizona) Saturday, January 12, 1935, p. 1 Last Rites For Mrs. Coughran Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for Stella Kerkes Coughran 19 years old, wife of Walter Coughran of Skull Valley, at the Community Presbyterian church. Mrs. Coughran died early Thursday morning in a Prescott hospital. The body was brought here by the Ruffner Funeral Home in Prescott. Two hymns were sung by Mrs. R. S. Elmicke accompanied at the piano by Mrs. F. J. Helm, after which a short talk was made by the Rev. Reese E. Scull, pastor of the church. There were many beautiful floral offerings. Interment was made in the Kerkes plot in the Wickenburg Cemetery, where the young woman's mother is buried. Pallbearers were H. K. MacLennan, O. L. Corbin, Jr., L. F.
