Clyde G. Reeves

Clyde G. Reeves, 85, of Lake Havasu City, passed away peacefully at home
on Sept. 20, 2023. He was born on May 16, 1938 in Kansas City, Missouri
to Curtis Oliver and Mary Charlotte Reeves (Jacobs).

He moved to San Diego, California as a young boy with his mother and
grandmother. He joined the U.S. Army in 1956 and served in Europe until
1959 and specialized as a sharpshooter. After completing his military
service, he returned to San Diego and was a Teamster/professional truck
driver for 35 years working for Shippers Imperial and Yellow Freight. He
was proud to say he drove more than 3 million miles accident free during
his career as a trucker driver. He got his private pilot license after
winning a small plane through a silent auction while on a weekend golf
outing.

He moved to Lake Havasu City in 1993 when he retired. He was an avid
golfer and belonged to several local golf clubs, enjoyed being on the
lake in his boat and traveled the world. He was an active member of the
Elks for 48 years and was a senior member of the Lake Havasu Elks Lodge.
In addition, he was a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge, American
Legion, and VFW. He collected and sold antique firearms with his Federal
Firearms License for many years. He will be remembered as a great story
teller about his travel and life experiences.

Clyde is survived by his wife of 27 years, Phyllis Reeves, his children
and stepchildren: Mike and Gail Reeves, Sam Reeves, Frank Reeves,
Velinda and Fred Mintzer, and Keith and Annetta Slaten. In addition, he
is survived by a few cousins, nieces and nephews, and a long list of
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens on Nov.
9, 2023 at 10 a.m. with military honors. A life celebration will be held
at the American Legion following the service from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm.
