| Wickenburg Funeral Home & Crematory, Wickenburg, Arizona Jo Ann Peterson March 12, 1939 — December 4, 2023 Jo Ann Ruth (Jo) Peterson was born in Dowagiac, MI in 1939 to Harry Glenn Murphy and Dorothy B Pohlman (Murphy), Attended Baldwin Schools from Kindergarten through 12th grade. She died on December 4, 2023 at the age of 84. She drove to Arizona in 1961, and Married Richard A. (Pete) Peterson in 1963. After years were spent in Nebraska, Colorado, Kansas and Texas. The couple returned to Wickenburg in 1978. They had two children and were married 45 years until Pete's death in 2008. She is survived by her two sons, Jerry Peterson of Wickenburg, Arizona, and Jeff Peterson his wife Tracey Peterson and her Grandson, From Carlsbad, California. Jo was an avid reader, some would call her a bookworm, she enjoyed the outdoors and her many friends in Wickenburg. Jo worked 16 years for the Wickenburg Sun Newspaper, later went to work alongside Pete at the Radio Station KBSZ which they owned. She was a familiar sight in town driving her scooter with the snail flag flying in the wind behind her.
