The game of baseball lost a loyal fan on May 10, 2023. Ruth (Warner)
Lawler was born in 1928 to Loyd and Mildred Warner in Otisville,
Michigan. She passed peacefully in Hospice care at her son's home in Las
Vegas, Nevada. Her cremation has taken place and there will be no
service or donations.

As a child, Ruth learned to love the Detroit Tigers. After the war, Ruth
married her high school sweetheart, Phil Lawler. Together, they worked
at the family business, the Otisville Elevator Co., and raised two
children, Sharon and Thomas. In the 1960s, Ruth went to work for
Otisville's Post Office, where she made many treasured and lasting
friendships. Ruth retired as postmaster there in 1991. After Phil's
passing, in 1993, Ruth followed her family West where she lived in Lake
Havasu City and Wickenburg. She loved Otisville, however, and that was
home in her heart forever. Ruth also loved soap operas, game shows, and
crocheting countless beautiful afghans for family, friends, and
acquaintances.

Preceding Ruth in death were her parents, Loyd and Mildred; her husband
Thomas (Phil) Lawler; and siblings Ernestine DeCoe, Everett Warner,
Marion Hudson, Norine Woods, Rev. Darwin Warner and Genie Walesky. A
special mention of dear friends Donna Renshaw and Mary (Bunny) Riley.
Ruth is survived by siblings Berneice Garnsey and Rev. Richard Warner;
families, Kim and Sharon Tibbits, Thomas Lawler, Angel Flores, and
Sandra Ortiz; Jeff, Sharon, and Bobbi Tibbets; and Aimee Tibbits, Wendy
Johnson, and Elle French.

Ruth also leaves behind many beloved Barden and Warner relatives,
including a special mention of nephew and niece, Bob and Gail Jennings,
and kept in constant touch, and treasured Wickenburg Ranch friends, Jim
and Jeanne Aikens. In life, Ruth "hit a walk-ff home run."
