| Wickenburg Sun (Wickenburg, Arizona) Friday, November 1, 1957, p. 1 Jack Woodell, On Deer Hunt, Dies Of Heart Attack Jack E. Woodell of Phoenix, former Wickenburg policeman, died suddenly Saturday of a heart attack while deer hunting near Jacobs Lake in the Kaibab Forest. Mrs. Woodell, who was with him, told friends here they were about to return to Phoenix when they decided to make one more try for a deer. Woodell shot a deer but collapsed as he was climbing down a hillside to get it. Mr. Woodell, 46 years old, was in the insurance business. Mrs. Woodell is the sister of William Nelson of Wickenburg. Surviving, in addition to the widow, are a son, Claude, a daughter, Mrs. Richard Whitehead, and one granddaughter. Mrs. Whitehead is the former Elaine Woodell. Her husband is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Whitehead of Wickenburg. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. William Boyce in Phoenix at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial followed in the Greenwood Memorial Park cemetery there. |
