Jerry Ray Crouthers

Jerry Ray Crouthers, born on November 25, 1940, in Overland Park,
Kansas, peacefully departed this world on December 12, 2023. He was the
beloved son of Lula and William Crouthers. He leaves behind a legacy of
love, dedication, and service.

Jerry's life journey was marked by remarkable achievements and
unwavering commitment. For 20 1/2 years, he served his country with
honor as an airman in the United States Air Force, earning accolades
such as the Air Force Commendation Medal and the National Defense Medal.
Post-retirement, Jerry continued his dedication to excellence,
contributing his skills to Lockheed Martin at Vandenberg AFB in
California and Circon Environmental in Santa Barbara, CA. He also
enjoyed volunteering his time for humanitarian missions such as home
construction with Habitat for Humanity in Mexico and California, and was
a regular cook at the Aid Association for Lutheran BBQ’s. His work ethic
and passion for service extended beyond his military career.

On June 8, 1963, Jerry married the love of his life, Martha, in Kansas
City, Missouri. Together, they celebrated 60 years of marriage, creating
a lifetime of cherished memories. Jerry found joy in the simple
pleasures of life, whether it was spending time with family, playing
golf with friends, bowling, or embarking on adventures across the globe
with Martha by his side.

A man of diverse experiences, Jerry's journey took him from his roots in
Kansas City to various Air Force bases across the United States, finally
retiring to Vanderberg Village, California. In 2014, he embraced a new
chapter in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where he became an active member
of the Lamb of God Lutheran Church for two decades.

Jerry's love extends beyond his earthly presence, surviving in the
hearts of his devoted wife Martha, son Keanon, daughters Jodi and
Melissa, and cherished grandchildren Tynessa, Meagan, Cameron, Alana,
and Daniel. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Lula,
and his brothers Richard and Joe.

Reflecting Jerry's compassionate spirit and commitment to making a
positive impact on the lives of others. Jerry Ray Crouthers will be
deeply missed, but his legacy of love, service and adventure will live
on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
