We sadly lost Judith Hilda Sipes at age 82, on Dec. 3, 2023. Judy was
born in Green Valley, Wisconsin, on the Menominee Indian Reservation.
Judy was the third oldest of eight children born to Harry and Rachael
Julson. When Judy's grandmother, the matriarch of the reservation, died
in 1951, Judy's family was required by tribal law to leave the
reservation. They moved to Washington state.

Judy grew up in several communities and graduated from Kennewick,
Washington High School in June, 1960. One month later, on July 18, 1960,
Judy married Virgil Sipes in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. Judy and Virgil
spent the next 62 years building a very successful family business,
Teletek Media Technologies. Virgil, the engineer/scientist, handled the
technical issues. Judy took care of everything else including the
accounting and financial side of their business. They started in
Washington before moving the company to Portland, Oregon.

In 2003 they retired and moved to Lake Havasu City. During 63 years of
marriage Judy and Virgil added four children, four grandchildren, and 2
great-grand-children to their family. Throughout their married life Judy
and Virgil enjoyed travel in their motor home. Their favorite
destination was Disneyland, which they visited over 50 times. Death
Valley was their second favorite spot. That is where Judy requested her
ashes be spread.

Judy and Virgil always lived with a strong faith in God, a strong
Christian work ethic, and a constant effort to live by example the
"golden rule"; "Treat others the way you would like to be treated." Judy
and Virgil were both born, raised, met, married and sealed in the Mormon
Church. During the past 15 years however, they have become increasingly
active in the Presbyterian Church.

A celebration of Judy's life will be held at Christ Chapel, 3450
Chemehuevi Blvd., Lake Havasu City, Arizona, 86406, on Wednesday Jan.
17, 2024, at 11 am. The service will be led by the Rev. Dr. David Bybee.
