He retired in 1975 and he then worked as an independent agent for multiple companies. He is survived by his wife of 33 years Marilyn R. Skepnek; daughters, Susan Robertson, Joann Ruiz, Cathy Skepnek, Margaret Skepnek and Dorothy Green; sons, William J., Mark S., James and Gregory Skepnek and ten grandchildren.
