A-6 Joyce Isaak Shaw September 26, 1932 - November 16, 2023 Joyce Isaak Shaw, a 20-year resident of Wickenburg, passed away on Nov. 16, 2023, at the age of 91. Born as Joyce Arleen Isaak in Portland, Ore. on Sept. 26. 1932, Joyce grew up in Aberdeen, Idaho, where she graduated from High School. After High School, she moved to the Seattle area where she attended college and worked as a medical/dental assistant. Joyce married Joseph B. Shaw on Sept. 21, 1963, and remained happily married for 49 years. Joyce and Joe loved to spend time sailing the San Juans, commercial fishing and crabbing in Washington and Oregon, and flying their private plane in the Willamette Valley. In 1996, the couple retired and moved to Wickenburg, where they loved to travel and explore the Southwest United States. Joyce was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wickenburg and loved working through the church to help and counsel members of the grief sharing groups. Joyce is survived by her two step sons, Gordon and Gil Shaw, and her many close friends in the Wickenburg community. Funeral services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Wickenburg (180 N. Adams St.) on Friday, Dec. 15, at 11 a.m.
