ALLEN, Howard A.

Published by Today's News Herald on Aug. 4, 2024 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Howard A. Allen passed away on July 11, 2024 at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas. He was born on July 2, 1948 to Howard M and Mary Ruth Allen. In 1966, he graduated from Kimball High School in Royal Oaks, Michigan. He was on the track team and held the half-mile record for a number of years. Howard, his first wife Kathy and two sons moved to Lake Havasu in 1979 from Royal Oak, MI. Howard Carpenter by trade and enjoyed constructing, anything with wood, including furniture. He worked as a framer, finished carpenter and building doors. Howard's passion was shooting darts and he was very good at it. He was a lifetime member of the London Bridge Dart Association having served as the President for many years. Howard was amongst those instrumental in starting the Annual London Bridge Dart Tournament, which is now in its 43rd year. He survived by his wife Judy, Sons Howard (Shannon) and Harlen (Donna), Stepdaughters Jennifer (Jim) Sister Marla (Will), Brothers Bronson (Mary) and Brandon (Shirley) and 9 Grandchildren. Howard was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Mary Ruth.
