Ernie Delacey Mallory, aged 93, passed away on November 22, 2024, in
Lake Havasu, AZ. Born on September 27, 1931, Ernie was a cherished
figure in his community and deeply loved by his family.
Ernie graduated from Alameda High School in Alameda, California, and
soon after joined the Air Force, where he served with distinction. His
military service remained a proud part of his life.
After his service, he worked for Bethlehem Steel and later for
McCullough Chain Saws in Lake Havasu, where he settled and retired.
Known for his love of the outdoors, Ernie was a familiar sight biking
around the island, boating, swimming in the lake, and hiking with
various groups. His passion for the outdoors was only rivaled by his
love for his family.
He leaves behind a legacy of joy and enduring spirit, remembered fondly
by his four daughters, eight grandchildren, and twelve great-
grandchildren. Also, his niece and nephew! Ernie will be remembered not
just for his active lifestyle as an avid hiker and beach enthusiast but
also for his friendly, engaging personality that made him a beloved
member of every group he was part of.
Ernie Mallory's life was one of vibrant activity and loving
relationships, and his memory will continue to inspire all who knew him.
