KITKO, Eugene James


Published by Today's News Herald on Dec. 15, 2024 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Eugene James Kitko passed away peacefully at his home December 5, 2024, at the age of 91. Eugene and his family moved to Lake Havasu City in 1971 from Cleveland, Ohio where he worked at Southern Union/Citizen Utilities where he was known as "Gene the gas man" until he retired. He was a longtime member and governor of the moose lodge. Eugene enjoyed traveling with his family and enjoyed overseeing family gatherings from his comfortable recliner in his later years. Eugene was proceeded in death by his wife Shirley, his parents Michael and Johanna, and his brother Dennis. He is survived by his son Ken Kitko, daughters Karen (Tony) Morano, Kathy (Mike) Simons, Kris Kitko, Karolyn (Jay) Molitor, 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and his siblings Cynthia (James) Diasio and Rich (Lucille) Kitko of Cleveland, Ohio…FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS
