PETERSEN, Mitsy

Published by Today's News Herald on Dec. 29, 2024 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Mitsy Petersen (59) passed away Nov. 18, 2024. She was born in Portland, OR. She resided in Cherry Hill, NJ before moving to Lake Havasu City in 1982. She graduated from NAU and pursued a career as a teacher in Golden Valley, AZ. Mitsy enjoyed horses, dogs, reading, planning historic trips, and playing family games. Mitsy was a devoted mother, a loving sister and Aunt, and a dedicated teacher. Mitsy is survived by her son, Avery Loren Michael Petersen of Flagstaff, AZ and sister, Lori Felish-Harris (Jim) of LHC, AZ. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her, including many nieces and a nephew (McKenzie, Tom, Angela, Christine, Kelly, Stephanie, Kimberlee, and Meagan and many grand-nieces as well. She was preceded in death by her parents, Loren and Betty; daughter, Rosalie; sisters Marcia Walther of Roseburg, OR and Carolynn Joyce of Sicklerville, NJ. A Memorial Service will be held in Kingman, AZ at St. Johns United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 10.30 am. All who knew Mitsy are welcome to attend.
