Bertha Ann (Gero) Thibodeau

Bertha Ann Thibodeau, who peacefully left this world on December 29,
2024, at the age of 90 to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Born
on January 27, 1934, Bertha was a proud graduate of Cony High School and
later earned her degree from Gates Business School. She retired from the
State of Maine Motor Vehicle Division, where she was well respected for
her dedication and service.

On November 23, 1955, Bertha married Clarence V. Thibodeau, beginning a
marriage filled with love, family, and shared memories. Bertha was a 50-
year member of the Maine State Grange and a devoted member of the First
Baptist Church of Hallowell, Maine. She also attended the Southwest
Baptist Church in Lake Havasu City, AZ, where she found community and
fellowship. Bertha lived a full life, surrounded by family, friends, and
loved ones. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, whose
kindness, warmth, and unwavering love touched the hearts of all who knew
her. One of her greatest joys was her love of reading, and she could
often be found immersed in a good book, exploring new worlds through the
pages.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence V. Thibodeau; her
father, Clarence Gero; her mother Edith Gero, her son, Scott Thibodeau;
and her sister, Patricia Gero, who passed at birth. Bertha is survived
by her daughters, Toby Riddell and Marie and Jason Bickford; her
grandchildren, Derrick Riddell, Ashley Riddell, and Ryan Bickford; and
her two great-grandchildren, Adrian Rodriguez and Electra Collins, as
well as a wide circle of friends who will miss her deeply.

A special thank you to all the Beacon of Hope Hospice team for the
wonderful care and support they provided to our mother over the past 4
years. A special thank you to Jamie, our caregiver, for your exceptional
kindness and care.
