LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ - Marilyn Heinemeyer, 88, passed away peacefully on
October 31, 2023, at Prestige Senior Living in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She
is now at peace with the Lord.

Marilyn Laverne Holgerson was born in Bismarck, ND on July 19, 1935. The
youngest of eight children, she was raised on a farm near Wing, ND, and
attended Wing High School. Shortly after graduating, Marilyn moved to
Bismarck where she met her future husband, Raymond Heinemeyer, manager
of Bismarck Municipal Airport.

They were married in 1955 and raised four children: Monte, Trent,
Tamara, and Darin. Marilyn was a loving and selfless mother,
grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Marilyn lived most of her life in Bismarck, but in later years she and
Raymond began wintering in Lake Havasu City to be closer to Tammy, who
now lived there. In the final years of her life, she became a full-time
resident to enjoy the warmer climate year-round.

A testament to her strength and resilience, Marilyn successfully battled
and overcame rheumatoid arthritis and breast cancer.

She enjoyed walking, golfing, bowling, writing poetry, gardening, and
spending time at the lake cabin. Another favorite pastime was going to
Las Vegas and Laughlin to hit the slots and video poker. She was either
lucky or good, or both, at that as well. Marilyn volunteered for various
causes and charities in Bismarck as well as the Lake Havasu City Senior
Center. She was a lifelong member of the Elks Lodge.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband Ray, who passed away in
1988, her son Trent in 2017, and all her seven siblings.

She is survived by her children: Monte (Michelle Bachmeier), Bismarck,
ND, Tammy (Tom) Pray, Lake Havasu City, AZ, Darin (Denise), Eagan, MN,
daughter-in-law Bobbi (Trent's widow), Ft. Wayne, IN; grandchildren:
Cody (Pam), Bismarck, ND, Calli (Clay) Hollenbeck, Driscoll, ND, Jacob,
Ft. Wayne, IN, and Harlie, Tempe, AZ; great-grandchildren: Micah and
Layken, Bismarck, ND, Hayes, Colt, and Nellie Marilyn, Driscoll, ND.

Funeral arrangements to be determined at a later date. In lieu of
flowers, the family prefers donations to an Alzheimer's charity.
Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
